I grew up in Tauranga and have lived here most of my life. In 2002 I returned to study and completed the NZ Diploma in Business majoring in Accounting and Finance, and subsequently spent eight years working for local Chartered Accountants. In 2010 I began working as a self-employed bookkeeper and became a registered tax agent. I returned to study again, completing the Bachelor of Management Studies majoring in marketing and I am currently completing a Masters in Management Studies in International Management.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy cycling (as you may have guessed), jogging, yoga and piano.
I am a ‘greeny’ at heart with a commitment to reducing my environmental footprint, both in business and at home, hence the ‘biking bookkeeper’, along with a commitment to cycle or skype rather than using the car wherever possible, and to move towards a paperless business format.
THE BIKING BOOKKEEPER
I particularly enjoy working with other self-employed business people, providing a range of services and advice through the knowledge and experience I have gained.
Many people go into business with a passion for what they do. However, I see far too many business owners doing the books late at night. Furthermore, there is the requirement to keep up to date with the latest changes in tax legislation and in employers’ obligations. Then there is working out which software will best suit their business. All of this takes their time and focus away from their core business and little time is left to look at the broader picture like how the business is performing, or to consider which areas of their business are the most profitable. Also, the costs associated with specialist services can be onerous, especially for new businesses.
That’s where we excel. Operating from my home in Cherrywood means low overheads and these savings are passed on to you. We will create a customized plan that best fits your needs. Outsourcing your bookkeeping will free up your time and allow you to focus on what you do best. Call us now for a chat.
The Biking Bookkeeper is proud to support ARRC Wildlife Trust.
ARRC Wildlife Trust aims to improve the well-being of our communities’ wildlife, animals and natural environment. Since 2003 ARRC Wildlife Trust has been assisting the Department of Conservation, Vet clinics and public with the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife in the Bay of Plenty.
As part of a commitment to the preservation of the environment, ARRC is proactive with animal related projects such as the ‘Adopt a Pet Program’. They also work to educate and create public awareness in order to ensure the long-term health of our wildlife and their natural environment.
